Exploring Love or Sacrifice: A Women’s Singing and Discussion Workshop

3 sessions of singing, storytelling & discussion for women, exploring identity ahead of Satnam Galsian’s premiere of Love or Sacrifice at The Old Courts, Wigan (20th August). Join us for an intimate series of workshops led by groundbreaking British Asian singer-songwriter Satnam Galsian, ahead of the premiere of her brand new work Love or Sacrifice at The Old Courts, Wigan (20th August). Over three sessions, you’ll explore the themes at the heart of Satnam’s music: gender, identity, love, and the expectations placed on women, through communal singing, storytelling, and open discussion.

Drawing on the rich tradition of Punjabi folk, these workshops are a space for women to find their voice, share their stories, and connect with one another. No singing experience is needed. Just bring yourself.

Please note: whilst tickets are free, these workshops are designed to be experienced as a complete journey across all three sessions. We kindly ask that you only book if you are confident you can commit to attending all three dates.
