About
We’re delighted to welcome Maddox Jones to the Sunday lineup at Roseshire Festival, bringing his uplifting sound and heartfelt songwriting to the main stage. A Northampton-born singer-songwriter, Maddox blends soulful pop with indie influences, creating music that turns themes of heartbreak, resilience and personal growth into powerful, sing-along moments. His sound combines emotional depth with infectious melodies and a genuine feel-good energy that connects with audiences of all ages.
Before launching his solo career in 2020, Maddox fronted indie band The Departure, achieving four UK Top 40 hits and touring alongside major acts including The Killers and Placebo. Since going solo, he has quickly built momentum, gaining support from BBC Radio and national television, with releases charting on iTunes. His albums Believe It and Waiting for the World to Turn showcase his development as a songwriter, exploring themes such as reflection, mental health and hope through modern pop songwriting.
Maddox has also toured extensively across the UK, supporting artists including Will Young, Lucy Spraggan and Rebecca Ferguson, earning a reputation for engaging and high-energy live performances. Beyond music, he is a passionate advocate for mental health, regularly visiting schools across the country to deliver motivational talks alongside his performances.
