Canalside Sessions with Williams Cumberbache is a regular weekend treat that brings world-class live music right to Hackney Wick. ABOUT THE EVENT Every Sunday afternoon from 1-4 pm, master conga player Williams Cumberbache, with over 30 years in the UK music scene and collaborations with legends like Goldie and Björk. Each week Williams will be joined by special guest bands bringing amazing live music to Hackney Wick every week with something different. Ideal for families, friends, and music lovers alike and even your dog will enjoy this uplifting experience which is all about connection, relaxation, and the joy of live music—an essential part of Grow’s vibrant community. SPECIAL GUEST – SOUL JAMAICA Soul Jamaica is the new quintet from drummer Daniel “Jujja” Crosby, also known as The Mighty Jeddo. Following previous appearances at Grow with his Afro-space-jazz trio, Crosby turns to Jamaica’s rich musical tradition, bringing together the swing and improvisation of jazz with the rhythms of ska and reggae. FOOD AND DRINK Grow’s food menu includes brunch options and a fusion of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Modern British plates and sharers made with seasonal ingredients, always with handmade touches. Enjoy a drinks menu with a range of curated drinks, including hot and soft options.
