About

Join us for a paddle on the River Avon, where you will be able to further your paddling abilities and transition the skills you’ve learned in the pool out onto the moving water. These are fun sessions for all ages and abilities where we will provide coaching and guidance as needed to help develop your abilities. Learn new techniques, try different craft or just have a nice evening paddle with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Boats and all equipment are available to borrow as needed or bring your own if you have it. Please arrive around 15-20mins before the session start time if you can and be clothed ready to paddle. There’s a reasonable chance of you getting wet so make sure you bring a dry change of clothes and a towel.

Except for on rare occasions where we might deem it unsafe, sessions will run whatever the weather so come dressed (from the waist up) as you would if you were going for a walk. If we do get some nice sunny evenings, either wear long sleeves or use sunblock to protect your skin. Whatever you decide to wear, avoid cotton or other absorbent fabrics that will hold on to water.

Any fast drying outdoor wear should be suitable. Because of the walk to the river, footwear is compulsory. We suggest either paddle shoes/boots or, if you don’t have these, an old pair of trainers that you won’t mind getting wet and possibly muddy.
