About

The Norris Museum has one permanent gallery that holds artifacts from 160 million years ago to the present day. There are objects, interactive activities, and games from across this whole period, as well! You can also explore Herbert Norris’ study, and throughout the year, there will be different gallery trails and ways to explore the museum! We also have a Temporary Exhibition Gallery that hosts a varied programme throughout the year. Gallery Activities: We have a gallery trail available from the museum’s front desk and to download here: Curious Collectors Gallery Trail. We recommend printing double sided, flipped along the short edge. We have additional gallery trails on a whole range of themes across the year. These can usually be found on the museum’s front desk during the school holidays and the run up to Christmas. We have Gallery Activity Bags available to borrow for free while exploring the main museum gallery. You can download information about each bag here: Explorer Bags, Story Bags, and Sensory Bags. We also have a Visual Story and Sensory Map, and regular Quiet Openings, you can find out about all of these on our Access page: Here.
