About

This beginner-friendly songwriting workshop is a creative exploration of how ideas, emotions, memories and experiences can be transformed into songs. Together, we’ll explore the building blocks of songwriting, including song structure, lyrics, melody, storytelling and creative expression. You’ll learn how songs are developed, discover different approaches to writing, and experiment with creating your own song ideas in a supportive and relaxed environment.

The workshop will guide you through the songwriting process, from finding inspiration and developing a central idea, to writing lyrics and exploring how words can connect with music. You’ll have the opportunity to: - 🎵 Explore what makes a song memorable and emotionally powerful - 🎵 Learn about song structure, including verses, choruses and bridges - 🎵 Develop your own song concept using creative prompts and exercises - 🎵 Experiment with lyrics, melody and musical ideas - 🎵 Explore different ways of finding inspiration and expressing yourself You don’t need to be a singer, musician, or have any previous songwriting experience. Songs can begin with a lyric, a feeling, a memory, a melody, an instrument, or simply an idea, there’s no single ‘right’ way to write.

The workshop is designed to help you build confidence, trust your creativity, and discover your own approach to songwriting. Whether you’ve always wanted to write songs but never tried, or you’re looking for a fresh way to reconnect with your creativity, this workshop offers a welcoming space to experiment, explore and create. No previous experience required.
