Notting Hill Carnival

Sun-Mon 09:00-22:00 Parade, Ladbroke Grove. One million revelers, 7500 participants, Mas Bands, Steel Bands and 38 Static Sound Systems. 300 food stalls, 1 ton of chicken curry, 1 ton of Jamaican patties, 15000, deep-fried plantains, 30000 corn on the cob, 1 ton of rice and peas, 12000 mangoes, 16000 coconuts, 5 million hot and cold drinks & 25,000 bottles of rum. Video: J’Ouvert (Jouvay) Sun 06:00-09:00 from junction Kensal Road & Ladbroke Grove. Traditional day break start to carnival, steeped in tradition. Participants cover themselves and others in paint, chocolate, mud, oil and powder.
