FREE ENTRY 12hrs/12ins Celebrating 50 years of the 12” single with DJ Dan Gerous @ Sidney & Matilda The first commercially available 12” single arrived in 1976 after originally being accidentally invented a few years previously when no 7” ‘dub plates’ were available for a test run of a new track that, New York DJ and disco mix pioneer, Tom Moulton wanted to play-out at his next DJ set.

Over the years the 12” single has evolved from originally containing louder more dynamic disco and reggae cuts to being the home of classic remixes, extended tracks and iconic songs that were too long for the limited duration of a regular 7” 45. DJ Dan Gerous will play an unprecedented 12hour extended set of 12” tracks on Saturday 22nd August from 3pm to celebrate the long groove.
