Expressive Bird Painting in Watercolour and Ink

Join Leeds artist and illustrator, Tim Gomersall, for a day of watercolour painting. In this workshop, you’ll learn to capture some of our native birds in a playful, expressive and lifelike way. We'll start with some drawing warm-ups and fundamental skill development.

You don't need to have any drawing experience to take part: an experienced, supportive tutor will be on hand to guide you. We'll then learn how to get the most out of watercolour, creating subtle transparent washes alongside intense passages of colour to capture the lively but fleeting energy of the birds. We will also use a range of Tim’s favourite art supplies to complement and strengthen our watercolour work.
