Following their visit in summer 2025, New To You Theatre return with two very different plays! Two stories, two characters, two lives, two journeys. Big Al is waiting to go on a journey he has waited a lifetime for on the last bus to Whitby.

Stella is waiting to go on a journey to midnight mass, and it feels like a lifetime since she rang ‘Speedy Cabs’ taxis to take her! These one-act monologue plays explore those times we finally get around to listening to an important person in our lives. Someone whom we often neglect.

Ourselves. Both stories explore in an innocent, gentle and bygone way, what we want from life and what happens when we muster the courage to go find it. Moreover, the real humour in life only comes from having lived it.
