Join Empath Theatre for a bit of summer fun and magic with A Midsummer Night's Dream! Enjoy an energetic, family-friendly performance of this Shakespearean classic. Empath Theatre is a not-for-personal-profit company.
They make bold, exciting and engaging theatre. In 2026 they delivered Wakespeare. Funded by Wakefield Council Culture Grants, this theatre programme saw Wakefield residents take classic Shakespeare scenes and characters.
They reimagined them in a Wakefield context. This was capped by a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream for a small audience at Pontefract Castle. With the summer weather here, Empath Theatre is now reprising this show with a free performance on Pontefract Castle's bailey.
