Learn the basics of Sashiko embroidery, which means little stabs in Japanese. Create lovely patterns with a running stitch. Join our tutor Helen as she shows you how to get the best Sashiko results, with lots of examples, encouragement and support. Practice your stitching and then trace your chosen design onto cotton to fuse onto your main fabric and then work on your design to create a little brooch cushion. No need to bring anything, needle, thread and all fabrics included. Parking info: We have a short stay parking space to the rear of our shop, accessed via Lyndum Close, perfect for dropping off or picking up, please only park in our space which is identified as such.
We share the rear space with many other businesses, all with their own designated parking spaces – please do not park in these. Nearest all the surrounding streets are Permit holders only – blue badge holders can park for as long as necessary. Visiting us for a full day workshop : Park in Swan Street car park (24 hrs) – 6 minute walk, feel free to drop your machine etc to the rear of our shop before parking. The nearest car park is Waitrose Central, but this has a max 3 hours Sneaky free places to park: 200m – North Road (off Station Road, by Bentleys Dog Groomers) – permit holder or 1 hour FREE parking 250m – College Street (outside the Good Intent on one way system) – 3 hours FREE Parking!!
