Labyrinth Afternoons
Sat 25 July · Newmarket
Saturday, 25 July 2026 – Sunday, 26 July 2026
About
You are welcome to use the labyrinth for reflection and contemplation any time during the opening hours of the Abbey Gardens. Labyrinths are structures used as a spiritual exercise. The area contains a path that meanders its way to the centre.
All you have to do is walk the path to the centre, turn around, and walk back again. Take your own time. You will find it behind the ruins of the abbey crypt, near the playground area.
It is made of wild flowers, which thrive in dry soil. Come anytime, or on an afternoon when a priest will be present to offer blessings and to provide stones to carry to the centre. Children are welcome.
The Labyrinth Afternoons are free and supported by the ministry team at The Cathedral. Times: 2pm-5pm Tickets: Free of charge Booking: Not required Venue: The Labyrinth, Abbey Gardens This event is promoted by St Edmundsbury Cathedral
