PRODUCE SHOW

The Link Villages Produce Show takes place each year in the Hyde Memorial Hall around the end of August. ​There are classes for fruit, vegetables, flowers, pot plants, home produce, preserves, craft, flower arrangements and photography. There are additional classes for young people in three age brackets – up to school year 2, school years 3 to 6 and school years 7 to 11 – and also adult novice classes. ​Entries are welcome from anyone in the local area, young or old, experienced or first timers. Every class has a cash prize and there are 16 different cups awarded. ​In the afternoon the hall is open to visitors to view the exhibits, enjoy tea and home made cakes, take part in the prize draw, vote for your favourite limerick and bid in the auction of produce at the end of the show after the prize giving.
