About

This May half term, People’s History Museum is launching a brand new family friendly space. Do you know a young person who loves discovering stories and exploring the power of their imagination? People’s History Museum’s new family new storytelling zone is the perfect place to bring them for this year’s Festival of Libraries.

Use the spin the story dice generator to spark fun ideas, then experiment with emotion mirrors to see how facial expressions and tone of voice can influence the way your tale is told. When you’re ready, use the storytelling zone to share your creation using puppets and props. The bookshelves will also be filled with books that celebrate the themes of the museum, for those who want to enjoy a relaxing story together.

This brand new addition to the galleries at People’s History Museum has been created in collaboration with artist and illustrator Sam Selley. The free activity is designed for ages 0-10 years and will be available during museum opening hours (every day except Tuesday, 10.00am to 5.00pm, with free entry.) FREE drop in space and activities.
