Synopsis Ai Weiwei’s “Cockroach” (2020) is a documentary film about the protests in Hong Kong in 2019. In February 2019, the Hong Kong government proposed a bill which would have allowed extradition of criminal suspects from Hong Kong to face trial in mainland China.

The screening of Cockroach is followed by a panel discussion and Q&A, moderated by Kee Hong Low, Creative Director of Factory International and Curator of Ai Weiwei: Button Up!

He is joined by Rita Hui, a Hong Kong-born filmmaker and artist; Justin Chiu-tat Wong, a comics artist and political cartoonist now based in the UK; and Clara Cheung, artist-curator, member of art group Project 226 and founder of C&G Artpartment.
