About
Join fashion designer and educator Penny for a fun and creative workshop where young makers will design, create, and personalise their own soft fashion doll to take home. Using fabric scraps, recycled materials, simple sewing techniques, and plenty of imagination, participants will create a unique character inspired by fashion, storytelling, creativity, and play. Starting with a simple doll template, they will sew, stuff, and assemble their doll before bringing it to life with hairstyles, features, clothing, accessories, and decorative details using ribbons, buttons, fabrics, and reclaimed materials.
Participants can design outfits for their doll, develop its character and personality, and sketch additional fashion ideas to continue the creative journey at home. Along the way, they will explore creativity, sustainability, self-expression, and the joy of making by hand. This relaxed, hands-on workshop is suitable for children of all abilities and encourages creative confidence, imagination, and practical making skills while creating a unique keepsake to treasure and take home.
Suitable for ages 8 - 14 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. £20 per person.
