Act 1 | 7–9 year olds

Fast-paced musical theatre classes for children aged 7-9 covering singing, theatre dance, and drama. Students perform on stage in full productions every term. Each session at Haslemere Hall begins with vocal and dance warmups, plus plenty of confidence boosting drama games.

We believe confidence grows on stage. Students enjoy multiple live performance opportunities each year, and every child is given a speaking role while learning to work as part of an ensemble - an essential element of musical theatre and a valuable life skill. Our productions are staged to professional standards with full lighting, radio mics, and brilliant costumes, giving students a real insight into how theatre is made.

Before each show, we run a photo shoot, and every production is professionally recorded so families can keep a lasting memento. To broaden their training, we invite theatre and TV professionals for one off workshops at least once a year. Previous guests include: Nikki Trow (X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent choreographer) Michelle Bishop (Cabaret, Fame, Sunset Boulevard) Michael Jibson (Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast – film; Hamilton – West End; Olivier Award winner).

Act 1 is the perfect foundation for young performers - structured training, real experiences, and a joyful path into musical theatre.
