Harpenden Summer Sessions

Running from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August 2026, the Summer Sessions programme introduces a series of smaller events designed around the school holidays. These are shorter, more focused experiences, each aimed at a specific audience. Children’s Theatre Date : Friday 31 July 2026 (Rothamsted Park) A relaxed, immersive production by Imajica Theatre, designed for younger audiences aged three to eight. Teddy Bears’ Picnic Date : Wednesday 5 August 2026 (Rothamsted Park) A returning favourite with games, storytelling, crafts and plenty of family-friendly entertainment. Friday Sounds Date : Friday 7 August 2026 (Harpenden Common) A laid-back evening of live music, street food and pop-up bars. Bring friends, grab something to eat and settle in for a relaxed summer night. Street Performer Angie Mack Date : Saturday 15 August 2026 (Church Green) A high-energy, interactive hula hoop performance packed with comedy and audience participation. Pop-Up Farm Date : Tuesday 18 August 2026 (Rothamsted Park) A chance to meet lambs, goats, rabbits and ponies, with hands-on learning about farm life. Music in Lydekker Date : Saturday 22 August 2026 (Lydekker Park) A long-standing summer highlight with free live music. Bring a picnic or grab a deck chair and enjoy the atmosphere. Ha Ha Harpenden Comedy Night Date : Thursday 27 August 2026 (Park Hall) Tickets required (on sale from 1 June) A relaxed evening of stand-up featuring new and emerging comedians. Expect a friendly crowd and plenty of laughs.
