This September, the world comes to Goole. Experience an extraordinary day of free outdoor performance as Freedom Festival on Tour comes to West Park, Goole. Artists from Finland, Spain, Mozambique and the Netherlands will transform our town with breathtaking circus, playful family adventures, larger-than-life walkabout performances and unforgettable outdoor spectacles that have toured internationally before arriving here in Goole. Whether you're discovering street theatre for the first time or you're already a Freedom Festival fan, this is your chance to experience world-class performance right on your doorstep. It's completely free, family friendly, and a chance to spend the day exploring performances that surprise, inspire and bring people together. As one of only a handful of locations selected to host Freedom Festival on Tour, Junction Goole is proud to continue its partnership with one of the UK's leading international arts festivals, bringing exceptional artists and extraordinary experiences to the heart of our community.
Around the world in one afternoon... Spinsane by Race Horse Company (Finland) Hold your breath as Finland's acclaimed Race Horse Company push circus to its limits with their spectacular Wheel of Death. Combining breathtaking acrobatics, fearless stunts and a brilliantly offbeat sense of humour, Spinsane is thrilling, hilarious and guaranteed to leave audiences wondering, "How did they do that?". Otempodiz by Ertza Konpainia (Spain & Mozambique) What if time wasn't something you chased, but something you simply lived? Through powerful contemporary dance, Otempodiz explores our relationship with time in a visually striking performance that is both thought-provoking and mesmerising. Beautiful, accessible and unlike anything you've probably seen before. The World Wanderer by Compagnie with Balls (Netherlands) Keep your eyes peeled for one of the festival's most magical sights. Perched on top of a giant globe, The World Wanderer invites children and adults alike on an imaginative journey around the world, encouraging everyone to dream, explore and discover together. Expect smiles, conversations and plenty of unforgettable photo opportunities. Senescence by Camiel Corneille (Netherlands) Part circus, part moving sculpture, Senescence is an extraordinary visual performance where a single artist performs inside a giant rotating steel structure. Powerful, intimate and captivating, it's a rare opportunity to experience contemporary circus in an entirely new way. Lilliput by Tombs Creatius (Spain) Step into a tiny world where little people create big adventures. Inspired by Gulliver's Travels, this enchanting walk-through installation invites families to explore a beautifully crafted miniature city bustling with life, humour and imagination. Perfect for curious minds of every age. From giant globes to gravity-defying circus, miniature worlds to contemporary dance, every performance offers something different. Wander through the festival, stay for one show or spend the whole day discovering something unexpected.
Come curious. Leave amazed.
