About
Give your little ones the chance to explore, imagine, and discover the natural world. *Into the Wild* is our weekly outdoor session for ages 0–4, inspired by the principles of *Forest School pedagogy* — child‑led exploration, sensory learning, and confidence-building through nature. Each week offers something new: - Bug hunts and mini-beast spotting - Scavenger trails around the gardens - Gentle *pram walks* under the trees - Picnics and outdoor story moments - Open-ended nature play designed to spark curiosity. Pack a snack, grab your hats and suncream, and come explore with us.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Our spaces are wheelchair accessible. If you have specific SEND requirements or sensory concerns, please contact us at valencehousemuseum@lbbd.gov.uk so we can make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
We want everyone to enjoy our events. A designated *Quiet Room* is available nearby for anyone who needs a sensory break or a calm space during the session. Join our mailing list and get the latest information on what’s going on at Valence House.
