Appliqué Town Cutting Mat and Ruler Bag Join Anna on this 4 block course to create this beautiful and useful Appliqué town cutting mat and ruler bag, to store and carry your cutting mat, rulers and rotary cutter! Designed especially for us at Creative Thread by Anna Owen, this board bag includes wadding to add stability helping to keep your cutting mats flat and measures 29 x 21 inches. The design on the front is made up of 3 applique panels including 2 houses and a shop – Anna will provide templates which can be altered to create a street personal to you and your imagination.

It is a great stash busting projects as a lot of the appliqué do not require huge amounts of fabrics, you can mix and match colours, patterns and prints throughout. Date & Time: This course is run once a month over 4 months all on Saturdays – the dates for this course are: 19 th September, 17 th October, 21 st November & 12 th December, 10am – 3:30pm. This will allow you time between each session to finish off the appliqué blocks and add any extra details to your pieces.

Price: The full price of this course is £200, £100 is payable upon booking with the remaining £100 to be paid at the start of September. Suitable for: You must be confident in using your sewing machine, no previous appliqué experience required. Anna is a wonderful tutor with lots of passion and knowledge for patchwork, textiles and embroidery.

Her sessions are fun, relaxed & encouraging with lots of help, advice and demonstrations throughout and also lots of fun and laughter along the way! Anna has just completed teaching a 10 months sampler quilt course for us here at Creative Thread & the results are just beautiful (see photos below!) All following the same techniques, but completely different, but equally amazing results due to their fabric choices. Across the 4 sessions you will learn a series of skills including: Using templates to create your appliqué Altering & personalising your design (you might want to incorporate the name of your favourite café or shop, your own house number, colour of doors, add your dog to the street, favourite flowers or plants etc to create a truly unique end result.
