About
See two exciting new shows before they play at Edinburgh Fringe We have offered artists the opportunity to test a small-scale show that they're developing for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe - in front of a live audience. Now you have the opportunity to support their journey and experience exciting new theatre at HOME before the festival begins. 6 - 7pm: CAMPITALISM: Three Gays Try to Fix The Economy by BOY Theatre Money makes the world go round. But as young people working in an industry that is increasingly being sapped of money and support, how are we expected to navigate it?
In a system that is stacked against us, maybe it’s up to us to tear it down. CAMPitalism is a TedX talk meets drag brunch meets the Lehman Trilogy. Three queers battle entrenched bureaucracy in an earnest attempt to understand and demystify finance.
We’re here, we’re queer and we’re financially-illiterate. 7:30 - 8:30pm: Paywall by Neysa Killeen This is a 60 minute one-woman play. Lizzy is 27, broke, and boxing up her life in a crumbling Dublin bedsit—on her way back to the last place she swore she’d never return: home with Daddy Dearest. Fuelled by the legend of radical journalist Margo Murphy, Lizzy has always had one ambition—to drag bullies into the spotlight and tear them apart in print.
It’s a noble dream… If Lizzy wants a byline—and a legacy—she’ll have to decide just how far she’s willing to go. Give us your feedback These shows are still taking shape, and we'd love you to be part of the process. After each performance, stick around for an extra 30 minutes to share your thoughts, swap reactions with fellow audience members, or simply scribble down some feedback.
Your ideas will help the artists fine-tune their work before they take it to Scotland. Limited FREE tickets See two new shows in an exciting double-bill for free, in exchange for your thoughts and feedback about the show. Please note, no alcohol is permitted inside HOME Arches.
