Come along on a gentle guided walk around Hunter’s Bog and St. Margaret’s Loch to learn more about Arthur’s Seat’s turbulent past, created by fire and ice! Find out about the people who lived and worked in the Park from 7 thousand years ago up until the present day and learn more about the rare wildlife that makes the Park so special. Good to know Volunteer’s Walk, Camstane, Hunter’s Bog, St. Margaret’s Loch.

This may change. The route is wheelchair accessible although does involve rough tracks and slopes. Please contact us if you have any access requirements and we will do our best to adapt the walk accordingly.

Please contact the Ranger Service for more information Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 12 years What to Bring: Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen’s Drive, next to Holyrood Palace).

Parking charges apply, Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Free for blue badge holders Road closures: Holyrood Park roads are closed every Saturday and Sunday. Local roads and car parks may be subject to closures.
