An early-morning yoga practice to start the week. Each class is thoughtfully sequenced around a different theme, starting slowly with gentle movements to wake the body and mind. The practice gradually builds into a more dynamic, flowing standing sequence, with careful attention to breath, alignment and mindful transition. Classes conclude with a proper period of relaxation, allowing time to settle and integrate the practice before the day begins. This class is suitable for students with some previous experience of yoga, who are comfortable following a steady flowing sequence. Plenty of variations and options are offered, making the practice accessible, creative and supportive. Please check and complete our Yoga health questionnaire. Karin Eklund I began practising yoga in 2000 and have been teaching since 2005. My training includes study with BNS Iyengar in Mysore, India; Lara Baumann at OM Station in London; and Dr Françoise Freedman at Birthlight, London. Before discovering yoga, I taught gymnastics, dance and aerobics, and I've always had a deep love of movement and embodied practice. I attend the lunch-time meditation sessions at the Buddhist centre. I have been teaching in Cambridge since 2010 and currently offer weekly classes at Satyam Yoga Studio, the Cambridge Buddhist Centre, and online via Zoom. I also teach a Yoga at Work programme with businesses and organisations across Cambridge. Alongside yoga, I teach illustration at Cambridge School of Art (ARU) and work professionally as an illustrator. My work has been produced for books, websites and mobile and tablet apps.
