The Romans are Coming!

Travel to the world of ancient Rome during an action-packed family day at the Museum of Classical Archaeology. Ever wondered what it was like to be a Roman soldier or wear a toga? Now is your chance to find out. Try on traditional Roman dress, take part in hands-on crafts and other family activities – and meet a real Roman soldier! This is a Summer at the Museums event.

Accessibility

This event takes place outside and inside the Museum. Outside, there will be shade and sunshine. Inside, the Cast Gallery is on the first floor. We provide step-free access via our lift. To use the lift please ask at the reception on the ground floor of the Faculty of Classics. An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor. Seating will be available inside. Summer Temperatures Our glass-roofed gallery can get very warm in the summer months. We recommend bringing water if the weather is forecast to be warm and sunny.
