About
The Five Valleys Sportive is back for 2026!
Join Prostate Cymru on Sunday 23rd August 2026 and ride the valleys to help men in Wales with prostate cancer.
Whether you are part of a club, a cycling enthusiast or just ride for fun, why not sign up for Wales’s premier sportive today?
The history of the Five Valleys route comes from an event which was started as a road race by the Port Talbot Wheelers in 1958 and grew to become one of the most famous races held in Wales.
The reason for its popularity was because it was an arduous course taking in some of the most historical climbs in South Wales such as the Bwlch and Rhigos mountains. It was the only race in Wales which was given a Star Trophy status – this rating is now called the Premier Calendar.
Starting and finishing in Margam Park, Swansea, there are two routes to choose from, the shorter route at 54 miles, or the longer route at 72 miles.
All participants will be given a disposable timing chip and access to feed stations along the route, so why not take on the challenge this August.
Entry for the event is just £45.
If you decide to take part on the day, you can still come down and pay £55 to take part.
We are offering a £35 sign up fee for members of cycle clubs who ride in a group of 10 or more. For more information on how to sign up as a group, please contact [redacted].
Like all of the money raised by our events, all donations stay in Wales, helping support awareness, research, and treatment for those suffering from prostate health issues. Sign up today and help support Prostate Cymru raise much needed funds to help support men in Wales fighting Prostate cancer.
For any further enquiries please contact event coordinator Ellie Jug at [redacted].
