Wordsmithery

Wordsmithery is a monthly celebration of local poets and songwriters, delivered in a unique format which includes guest spots and floor spots. Each event showcases a guest poet and songwriter, who alternate through two twenty-minute sets, creating an engaging evening of words and music. Alongside our featured guests, there are also opportunities for 5 poets and 5 songwriters to perform one piece each in a vibrant showcase of local talent.

Floor spots are available on a first come, first served basis on the night.. The wonderful host is Alison Schultz, one of the team members who brings you the Wirral Poetry Festival. The live room doors open at 7pm (this is separate from our bar area), and music starts shortly after.

The bar is open after the show. This is a seated show. Venue Information: Future Yard is open every day from 10am – so you can stop by for a coffee or a pre-show drink in our bar area whenever you like.

Our pizza kitchen is open on weekends and before every gig, 5-9pm. All our pizzas are vegetarian and vegan friendly, available by the slice or a full 16″ pizza. Kitchen open 5pm-9pm for this event.
